It uses DPD reagent. The concentration of free residual chlorine can be obtained by using only the DPD reagent and the total residual chlorine and the combined residual chlorine concentration can be obtained by using potassium iodide together with the reagent. In food processing sites, use of glass products may be prohibited in order to prevent any broken glass pieces from getting mixed in foods. The AQ-201P AQUAB handy water quality meter uses a sample cell made of PET instead of glass.<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0 Main Functions<br \/>\n\u25cf Memory function<br \/>\nMeasurement values are automatically saved up to 99 points.<br \/>\nIn memory check mode, you can check the measurement value immediately.<br \/>\n\u25cf Turning the power OFF automatically or manually<br \/>\nThe power can be automatically turned OFF even if you forget to turn it OFF. You can also turn the power OFF manually.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf For measuring residual chlorine<br \/>\nTap water is disinfected with chlorine in order to secure sanitation. Residual chlorine indicates the available chlorine remaining in tap water in a state that it has a disinfecting effect. DPD method is used as a legally-specified procedure to check and measure residual chlorine concentration.<br \/>\nThe AQ-201P is a residual chlorine comparator that uses the DPD method and can measure up to 2.00 mg\/L of residual chlorine concentrations. It uses a sample cell made of PET instead of glass so it can be used in food processing sites where use of glass products is prohibited.
