Information on rebuilding CI (Corporate Identity) of Sibata Scientific Technology Ltd.

About 60 years ago, in 1963, the logo that became the basis of our CI was created, and about 30 years ago, in 1995, we formulated the CI manual. In 2021, Sibata Scientific Technology celebrated its 100th anniversary, and in order to maintain the “corporate image” that is an element for each employee and our company to be recognized by society, Sibata Scientific Technology Co., Ltd. has once again formulated its CI (corporate identity). The corporate brand logo plays the most important role in CI. The corporate brand logo symbolizes Sibata’s mission as “contributing to the safety, security and health of people around the world” and functions as proof of quality, trust and expectations in all communication.

In Corporate Brand Logo (herein after referred as “logo”), Shibata’s “ta” character is represented by a square with the motif of rhombus and indicates four basic ideas such as “Mutual Trust”, “Cooperation and Harmony”, “Capacity Development” and “Service and Prosperity” that we have cherished and cultivated since company establishment.

It is located in a square with a round corner to float the diamond shape.

This square with rounded corners expresses the desire for “stability” and “cooperation”.

In addition, Yotsubishi contains the founder’s desire to surpass Mitsubishi, which supported the growth of the Japanese economy after the Meiji Restoration.

Currently, it has grown from a company that manufactures and sells “glassware for physics and chemistry” to a company that is responsible for the four businesses of “general-purpose scientific equipment,” “environmental measurement equipment,” and “plant engineering equipment.”

The blue used for the logo impresses the blue of the sky (atmosphere) and the blue of water (sea), and as a leading company recognizing the importance of environmental protection in order to protect the green earth full of clean air and water. We named the corporate color “SIBATA Blue” as the image color.

A unified corporate image permeates through disciplined CI activities that promote the correct recognition of the company SIBATA and its products by customers and employees, and the familiarity with the product and the dignified trust in the company can be established and the corporate image of “SIBATA”, that is, the brand can be socially established.

As SIBATA, we will strive to have a unified understanding as an employee, both inside and outside the company, which will lead to an improvement in the corporate brand and corporate value.

It is essential that the logo and the products and services themselves are attractive, so I would like to enhance the brand power more consistently.

For the next 100 years, in addition to “quality” and “stability” that Shibata Scientific values, with “innovation “as the key ward, “Innovation for the Next 100” will be the slogan from 2022 to 2024.

The red “i” in innovation means the sun at sunrise, passion, national flag and people.
